Push On – Push Off Soft Latching High Side Switch.

When you press the button, the circuit toggles its state: if it’s on, it turns off; if it’s off, it turns on. You can also turn it off by applying voltage to the shutdown pin. In the off state, it draws virtually no current — I couldn’t even measure it, as it’s below 1 microamp. This makes it ideal for battery-powered devices. When your device is off, it consumes zero power.

You can also trigger the shutdown pin via an Arduino or another microcontroller, allowing the device to turn itself off automatically once its task is complete.

BVario – Smart Variometer for Paragliding

BVario is a variometer device designed with the current needs and challenges of paragliding pilots in mind. With its two high-precision sensors, it quickly and accurately detects your rate of ascent or descent and notifies you with clear audio feedback through its high-powered speaker. It can also transmit altitude data via Bluetooth to flight apps on your smartphone.

Its high-capacity built-in LiPo battery charges rapidly either through the onboard solar panel or with a standard phone charger (Micro USB). This eliminates worries about forgetting to charge it or the battery running out mid-flight.

The audio volume can be finely adjusted with an analog dial, and it can be completely muted with a switch for those who want to use it as a silent sensor only.
